Restaurant accounts and business information
Account signup uses an email address, a password through our authentication service, and the company name you provide. Account information can also include a name, company website, billing email, team membership, and access roles. Restaurants can add business and location details and manage menu descriptions, images, ingredient information, allergen details, modifications, and preparation notes.
This information supports sign-in, company access, team invitations, password recovery, menu management, and publication of restaurant-provided menu content. If you email us, your message and contact information are used to respond to your request and address the issue you raise.
Public menus and images
People can view public restaurant menus without a MyMealMenus account. Content published at a public menu link is accessible to people with that link, and selected menus may appear in search engines and our public directory. Removing a menu from search indexing does not make its URL private.
Images uploaded for public dishes and restaurant branding can have public URLs. Restaurant teams should use only material they are authorized to publish and keep confidential information out of public menu content.
Guest menu selections
The public menu interface uses allergy selections and cross-contact preferences in the browser to adjust the guest experience. The menu usage event records described below do not include those selections or preferences. Restaurant staff receive any information you choose to share with them directly.
Menu usage records
MyMealMenus collects usage information so restaurant teams can understand how their menus are used. Records can include the menu and dish viewed, event time, a random browser-session identifier, device category, browser, operating system, the browser’s user-agent string, the full referring address, and campaign information included in a menu link. These records can remain stored after the visit.
Where enabled, interactions can also include entering the menu after the welcome steps and clicking an ordering link. An ordering-link click measures the interaction with that link, not a completed purchase.
Authorized restaurant team members can access reports for menus they manage. Menu usage measurement does not require a guest account. The application’s menu event payload does not include an IP address, but network and infrastructure providers necessarily handle connection information when delivering the service.
Cookies and browser storage
Account sessions use cookies to support authentication. Public menu usage measurement uses a random identifier in the tab’s sessionStorage. Browser storage settings can limit this storage and may affect functionality or measurement. Clearing browser storage does not delete records already stored by the service.
A browser-session identifier is a measurement aid. Its lifetime in the browser does not specify how long database records or infrastructure logs are retained.
AI-assisted imports, when enabled
When a restaurant uses an enabled AI menu import feature, a supplied menu image or extracted text is sent to OpenAI to produce a draft. For public-link imports, the application requests the supplied source before sending the relevant content for analysis. Provide only material you are authorized to use and avoid links containing credentials or private information.
The application does not persist the original imported image bytes. It retains source metadata, extracted drafts, suggested-allergen evidence, review and committed-draft information, and processing identifiers for the import workflow. Requests use the provider’s response-storage setting to disable response storage. This does not mean the provider has no retention; handling depends on the applicable service terms and account controls. See OpenAI’s data controls.
AI suggestions require kitchen review. They do not verify a recipe, ingredient list, or food-safety outcome.
Services and external websites
MyMealMenus uses Supabase for account authentication, database records, and uploaded image storage. Enabled AI imports use OpenAI. Hosting and network services also process requests needed to deliver the website. Restaurant logos, backgrounds, or other images may be loaded from external image hosts.
Public menus may link to restaurant websites and ordering services. Those sites operate separately and handle information under their own notices. Contact the restaurant about its handling of information you provide directly to it.
Stored records and your requests
Account records, published menu information, stored images, import records, and historical usage information can remain stored after a browser session ends. Closing a tab or removing a menu from search listings does not delete those records.
For questions about stored information, or to request access, correction, export, or deletion of information associated with your account, contact info@mymealmenus.com. Include enough detail to identify the account and request. Please do not send your password. We may need to verify your identity and your authority to act for a company before making changes or disclosing records.
For questions about a restaurant’s published menu content or information you shared with that restaurant, contact the restaurant directly. You can also notify MyMealMenus about a platform issue through the email above.
